Coconut Chai Coffee
This coconut-ty coffee drink is a must try! With the irresistibly delicious taste of coffee, coconut and chai milk, the surprising blend is also equally super healthy. Plus, the delightful taste of all the ingredients when combined is a great mood changer for the day.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups coconut water
- ¼ cup coffee beans
- 3 cups chai milk / almond milk
- ½ cup coconut whipped cream
- 3 tbsp. desiccated coconut / coconut shreds
- 1 cup marshmallows (optional)
Procedures:
- Boil coconut water to start brewing your coffee beans.
- While brewing, prepare the milk. A prepared chai milk is the best option for this recipe. In order to make one, mix 3 cups of almond milk, 1 tbsp. honey, 1 tsp. cinnamon, and ½ tsp. of ginger, nutmeg and vanilla extract. if ingredients are not available, one may use almond or skim milk available in groceries.
- Combine the finished mixture of the brewed coffee and chai milk together.
- Top with whipped coconut cream. You may also use a regular whipped cream if not available.
- Lastly, sprinkle some desiccated coconut or fresh shredded coconut kernels. You may add some marshmallows on top if desired.
Coconut Herbal Tea
Being gluten-free and vegetarian, this drink is perfect for tea lovers and health-conscious individuals. With the amazing benefits of coconut water itself, adding all the herbs, spices and fruity ingredients in it makes it a super healthy hot drink to enjoy. It also helps people on diet restrictions aiming to lose weight.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups coconut water
- 1 tbsp. desiccated / shredded coconut
- ½ tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp. lemon zest
- 3 organic tea bags of your choice
- 1 tbsp. mint leaves, finely chopped
- 1 tsp. honey (optional)
Procedures:
- In a pot, combine coconut water, desiccated coconut, cinnamon, apples, lemon zest, tea bags and honey (optional). If you don’t want your tea sweeter, you may remove the honey.
- Bring to boil and then simmer for about 3 minutes, reducing the heat gradually.
- Remove from heat and set aside for 20 minutes. This will help in steeping all ingredients in the liquid.
- Serve with fresh mint leaves.
